Youth Infrastructure Coalition

In 2018, the Youth Infrastructure Coalition came to Naartjie Multimedia with a unique project. They wanted to raise awareness for a project that would build an interstate through the Southeast. Interstate 14 would bring many jobs and businesses to several impoverished areas, provide strategic access to military bases, and a faster east-west route between west Texas and East Georgia. The Youth Infrastructure Coalition had a dream and asked our agency to help make that dream a reality. Luckily, we didn't actually have to build an interstate, we just had to help them build support for the project with a video.

As Account Executive, I worked with the president, Frank Lumpkin IV to develop a script and a list of shots for the video. I worked with the creative team at Naartjie to communicate Frank's vision into visual maps that would appear in the video. I assisted the Naartjie video team in location scouting and coordinating schedules where the team could film.

After months of hard work and several edits, the clients were amazed by the final video and the video was quickly spread online and even ended up in a feature on national news. The Youth Infrastructure Coalition worked hard and gained the support of legislators from both political parties and in 2021. Interstate 14 was included in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act sponsored by Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Raphael Warnock of Georgia. Just over three years after the video was released, on November 15, 2021 Interstate 14 was officially signed into law by President Biden.

Here is the video we created for the Youth Infrastructure Coalition.

Here is a video clip of the video being discussed on national news.
